Abstract

The Palarq Foundation, a private, non-profit organisation, was created in 2016. Since then, it has been supporting research projects in Archaeology and Human Palaeontology, with three calls for proposals; an annual one, aimed at Spanish teams belonging to Spanish public entities of recognised prestige, which carry out their activity abroad, excluding Europe. A second of a biennial nature corresponds to the National Awards for Archaeology and Human Palaeontology, open to projects both in Spain and abroad. The third line of support for research is intended to subsidise activities included in the so-called archaeometry, in projects led by Spanish teams which, in this case, also work in Spain. Another of the activities to which this Foundation is dedicated is the dissemination of knowledge in human palaeontology and archaeology in general. In this case, it is related to publicising the results of the projects it supports and, on the other hand, to publicising these disciplines in general in a rigorous but entertaining way. In both cases, collaborating with the media and with the use of current social networks, especially YouTube and Tik Tok.
