Abstract


The meaning of frontal visages on the lberian pottery is analysed here and interpreted as an expression of the «othemess» of the god, in contrast with the received tradition. This reading is based on sorne examples from Elche. It allows us to propose a new approach to the dialectical process of the humanization of the idea about god in lberian culture.
