Abstract
The object of the present study is to comment some aspects on the iconography of the Roman province Africa. First of fall, we deal of the origin of one of the most important attributes: the exuviae, and how this element became a characteristic of the personification of Africa... Then, we propose a discussion about three objects which present some interesting aspect from the iconological point of view: two pieces of the Boscoreale Treasure and a relie from Villa Belleti, in Rome.
