Abstract

Analysis of the representations of Charon in the Reed painter with the intention to throw into relief the major traits of the style and the technique of this type or scenes. The testification of absurd compositions (the mixt type shrine cult/Charon; the presence of a women with a strigyle) allows to rescarch into the type of clientèle of the painter and to conclude about the sociollogically specific character of Charon's myth.
