Naturaleza de los colores fugitivos en la cerámica griega

Abstract


The chromatographic analysis of an added white sample on a greek ceramic ware identifies a binding medium composed of beeswax and soap. This result indicates that the white superimposed decoration on the ware was painted with encaustic.
