La pittura nel mondo punico: per un recupero di note antiquarie
Abstract
This paper involves a serie of data and remarks about painting in the punic world suggested by a new reading of some old studies and others more recent that have dealt with the subject under several aspects. The use of polychromatic painting with different applications, both functional and decorative, in the anthropomorfic sarcophagi of Sicily and Spain, and on the architectonic sarcophagi found in Carthage, provides valuable information that points towards a sidonian and athic origin of these imported products.
