In the discussion about the Roman colonies foundation rites, just a reduced number of cities have adduced archaeological evidences about how the sacred proceedings developed as we know them by written sources. The revision of the archaeological drawings from the surrounding area of the colonial forum of Tarraco, digged during the twenties of the last century, has brought forward information in this discussion. Starting by the identification of the auguraculum or augurial templum, it is possible to set a relationship between this sacred places and the urban morphology.
