We present the results of a series of analyses -radiocarbon, botanical remains and mortars- dated between the 7th/8th and 12th centuries coming from Melque excavation (S. Martin de Montalbán, Toledo) and from surface prospection. They provided new data on the chronology of the church of Sta. María (between 680 and 770, not definitive) and on agrarian production -irrigated and dry land-, which is considered from the Visigothic and Mozarabic perspectives.
