Resumen

El edificio elíptico encontrado al norte del Areópago de época geométrica, reconvertido en depósito votivo en el siglo VII, sirve para reflexionar sobre el proceso de formación de la polis y el tránsito de la basileia a otras formas de gobierno aristocráticas y colegiadas en los orígenes de Atenas, en relación con determinados cultos que se convierten en referentes de toda la comunidad.
